Ellen C. (Manolas) Leotsakos, of Cambridge and Newton on June 22, 2017, passed away peacefully with her children by her side after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael T. Leotsakos. Dear sister of Hariklia Johnston and her late husband William "Bob" of Vista, CA, the late Anastasia Manolas of Cambridge and the late Spiro Manolas and his late wife Carol of Alexandria, VA. Devoted mother of Theodore "Ted" Leotsakos and his wife Nancy of Arlington, Anastasia Kanaloupitis and her husband Nikolaos of Beverly, Maria Kanellias and her husband Michael of Newton, and Constantine Leotsakos and his wife Joy of Arlington. She was the loving grandmother of Michael Theodore and Philip Leotsakos, Ellen and Demetri Kanellias, Michael Constantine Leotsakos, and Konstantinos Kanaloupitis. Born in the Bronx, NY, Ellen was the daughter of the late Constantine and Stavroula Manolas. She was a lifetime resident of Cambridge who after raising her family, spent many years providing administrative and executive support at the publishing firms of Prindle, Weber and Schmidt, CBI, Linguistics International and Thompson International; later moving on to John Hancock Timber Resources Group and finally retiring from John Hancock Financial Services. Ellen was a faithful servant on the Parish Council and on the Board of the St. Barbara's Philoptochos Society at Saint Athanasius the Great Greek Orthodox Church, Arlington. Funeral Service on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at St. Athanasius The Great Greek Orthodox Church, 4 Appleton Street, Arlington, MA at 10AM. Visiting hours on Monday, June 26, 2017 from 4PM to 8PM at the church. Relatives and friends kindly invited to attend.
