Elie Matta, of Waltham, MA passed away on November 17, 2014. Beloved husband of Salwa (Abi-Nader) Matta. Devoted father of Joseph Elie Matta and his wife Marly and Rita Desilets and her husband Daniel. Loving grandfather of Safiya and Marcelo Matta, and Savanna Desilets. Brother of Antoine Matta and his wife Stella, George Matta and his wife Mountaha and the late Rosette Cherfane. Brother in law of Samir Cherfane. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral from the Faggas Funeral Home, 551 Mt. Auburn St., Watertown, MA on Friday, Nov. 21, 2014 at 8am followed by a Funeral Mass at 9am in St Patrick Parish, 212 Main St., Watertown, MA. Visiting hours on Thursday from 4 to 8pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Burial in Mt. Feake Cemetery.
