Elias V. Constantopoulos's Obituary

Our lives are exponentially blessed over time by the people in them – and, we are ever more fortunate to live amongst, learn from, and be graced and loved by the ones that transcend the ordinary to then live and achieve the extraordinary. With profound honor and respect, we celebrate the life of Elias Vasilios Constantopoulos who peacefully passed away on October 8, 2025.

Born on June 20, 1943, in the small, beautiful village of Palaiomirion Arkadias (Megalopolis), Greece to Vasilios and Katerina (Stragas) Konstantopoulos, his life was forever enriched by an incessant love of country – the bedrock that fundamentally shaped the fabric and strength of his character and charisma, one that fueled the lessons and achievements of his journey and, more importantly, of a life well-lived.

Motivated by generational trials, reinforced by army service and duty, and inspired by a longing for advancement, Elias left his country at the age of twenty-five for the United States. With a vast ambition only matched by his remarkable work ethic, he established Elias Construction Inc. as a general contractor building on his early trade as a craftsman and fortifying his mark as a pioneer in his own right. At the core of his profession was his indelible attention to detail, fixation on high quality, and assertive and admirable leadership that yielded loyalty and longevity – all thoughtful measures that served as the foundation of a monumental, forty-year career, now preserved in many of the most mesmerizing buildings and homes throughout greater Boston.

Men of principle are the principal men. His standards in craftsmanship were deeply grounded in his steadfast values indexed on always doing the hard right against the easy wrong. The authenticity, fortitude, humility, dignity, selflessness, and resilience he firmly commanded of himself, he quietly revered in others. The love from the young boy who left his village for his beloved family was paramount and never fleeting – for Elias, his devotion transcended responsibility and underscored the dignity of the Constantopoulos name.

With his stoic standards and virtue of serving others came the balanced intention of fulfilling his appetite for the bounty of life's gifts. From the simple joys of a book, conversation, and music to the thrills of sports cars, fine dining, and international travel, he reveled at seizing the present moment. A meal with Elias meant dining at a table always dressed with the pleasure of witnessing his generosity, joy, quick-witted humor, and exuberant spirit – his "Kefi" (Kefi) – and consuming his underlying message and the example we will always treasure: to work hard, live life to the fullest, and take care of yourself.

His lessons will live on and the memory of his life will remain in the hearts and minds of his beloved wife Stella and her extended family; his loving brother George Constantopoulos and wife Dora, sister Niki Konstantopoulos (Orfanidou) and husband Manolis, sister Dina Konstantopoulos, nieces Mary, Katerina, Maria, Katherine, and Maria and their families, nephew Vasilios Constantopoulos and his family; and his adoring godson Yianni Douros; as well as his affectionate friends he is survived by in the United States and Greece.

A privilege to have known and lived by, to love and be loved by. May His Memory Be Eternal.
