Eleanor (Anafantis) Thistlethwaite, of Cohasset, formerly of Winchester and Arlington passed away peacefully on November 16, 2008 after a valiant fight with cancer. She was predeceased by her husband of 41 years Harold W. Thistlethwaite. She was the daughter of the late Christie and Pauline "Despoula" (Primpas) Anafantis. Sister of Pauline Chambers and the late Dorothy Thompson and a late niece, Karen Chambers. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends throughout United States. She was a graduate of Boston University and a renowned music teacher in the Winchester School District for almost 30 years. She was a founding member of the Panagia Greek Orthodox Church of Cohasset, and loved the church dearly. She had great friends at the Cohasset Senior Center. She greatly appreciated all of the compassionate people with whom she came in contact with at the Hellenic Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Canton, Mass. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. At the request of the family funeral services and burial will be private.
