Ekaterini" Kathy" (Bakis) Velkos of Saugus passed away suddenly on December 28, 2024. Beloved wife of the late George James Velkos.  Loving mother of Evie Makkas and Mary Ali & her husband Tarek. Loving yia yia of the late EJ Whalen. Sister of Niki Petropoulos, Fani Linardakis, Ioanna Vasilopoulou & her husband Triantafilos and Helen Papadopoulos. Also survived  by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends in the USA, Montreal, Canada and Greece. Funeral services on Friday, January  3rd, 2025 at 11:00 am at Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 14 Magazine St., Cambridge, MA . Visitation will take place in the church prior to the funeral service from 9:30 to 11:00 AM. Burial in Riverside Cemetery, Saugus, MA.  Donations in her memory may be made to the above named church.
