Eftihia "Effie" Papadopoulos, of Brighton, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Greece. Daughter of Anesti and Parthena Aslanidis. She is survived by her beloved husband Savvas Papadopoulos. Loving mother of Maria Papadopoulos. Devoted sister of Eleni Tingas and her husband Ioannis of Greece, Zafera Kounatidou & her husband Lefteri of Greece, Issac Aslanidis and his wife Anna of Greece, Despina Vasialliadis of Germany, George Aslanidis and his wife Maria of Greece, Stefano Aslanidis and his wife Voula of Greece and the late Maria Lemonopoulos. Also survived by many nieces, nephews,relatives and friends. Funeral Services on Monday, March 7, 2011 in St. Nectarios Greek Church, 39 Belgrade Ave., Roslindale, Mass. at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours on Sunday from 3 to 7pm at the funeral home. Donations in her memory may be made to the above named church. Burial in Gardens at Gethsemane Cemetery.
