Obituary

In loving memory of Efthimios Konstantopoulos

August 15, 1954 – August 24, 2026

Efthimios Konstantopoulos (Tim) passed away on August 24, 2026. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Mercy Konstantopoulos; his daughters, Maria and Christina Konstantopoulos; his sons-in-law, Basilis Tafa and Elias Tsionis; and his four cherished grandchildren, Dimitra, Thano, Melina, and Efthimia. Additionally, he leaves behind many siblings and relatives both in Greece and in the United States.

Tim was a simple man with the kindest and purest soul. His family was his whole world, and their happiness and health were what mattered most to him. Always smiling and joking, he brought laughter and joy wherever he went. He loved Greece deeply and treasured his morning coffees and daily walks to the beach with his grandchildren.

Tim made sure the people he loved knew he was thinking of them, starting each day with his signature morning messages to family and friends. He loved staying connected and sharing his life with the world, usually through an abundance of Facebook posts and selfies. He was rarely without his iPad—and rarely without asking someone for help connecting to the Wi-Fi. But as much as he loved staying connected online, Tim loved being surrounded by people even more. At every celebration, he loved nothing more than being the one to lead the dance circle. And above all, his grandchildren were the center of his world. Nothing made him happier than simply having his family together.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 31, 2026, at Taxiarchae/Archangels Greek Orthodox Church, 25 Bigelow Avenue, Watertown, MA. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Newton Cemetery at 791 Walnut Street in Newton, MA.
