Efthimios John Deamantopoulos, 85, of Waltham, MA passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, June 25, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.  Born in Vresthena, Sparta, Greece to Maria and John (Rozanitis) Deamantopoulos on December 18, 1937.  He traveled to the United States alone, by boat, at just 13 years old, and joined the United States Air Force in 1960, and served for 4 years.

He married his childhood friend and love of his life Pauline Tingos in Vresthena,Greece in 1963.  Blessed with a wonderful daughter Maria in 1965.  A devoted father, and immensely proud grandfather of four grandchildren, Toula and her husband Evan, Paulina, and Henry.  "Papouli", referred to by his grandchildren, will forever be in their thoughts and be deeply missed.

He is survived by his beloved wife Pauline (Tingos) Deamantopoulos. Devoted father of Maria Papadopoulos and her partner George Mavrogiannidis. Cherished Papouli of Toula C. Papadopoulos Moretti and her husband Evan, Paulina D. Papadopoulos, and Henry Papadopoulos. Loving brother of Christos Deamantopoulos and his wife Maria.  Also survived by many relatives and friends here and in Greece.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at The Taxiarchae Greek Orthodox Church, 25 Bigelow Avenue, Watertown, MA at 11AM.  Visitation prior to the Service from 10AM to 11AM at the church.  Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers,donations in his memory may be made to the above named church.  Late Veteran US Air Force.  Burial will be held in Mt. Feake Cemetery, Waltham, MA.
