Effie (Bantos) Makarios, passed away on August 27, 2023. Born in Megalopoli, Greece.  Beloved wife of Theodore Makarios. Devoted mother of Sylvia Makarios, Perry Makarios and his wife Anna, and Susan Argyro Makarios and her husband Anastasios Koronios. Loving Yiayia of Christina Makarios Campbell. Sister of Nota Moraitis, Katina Damassiotis and her husband Nikos, Maria Panagopoulos, John Bantos, and the late Evanthea Bantos, and the late Sotiris Bantos. Sister-in-law of the late Eleftheria Athanasiadis. Also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends here and in Greece.

Funeral Service on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at 10AM at St. Nectarios Greek Church, 39 Belgrade Ave., Roslindale, MA.  Visitation prior to the Service from 9AM to 10AM at the church. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the above-named church.
