Effie Kotarides, of West Roxbury, Mass, passed away on January 31, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer, at Mass General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Boston, Mass on August 7, 1925 to Harry and Catherine (Rapatas) Anthony. She married the love of her life, Nicholas Kotarides. She is survived by her husband Nicholas. Devoted mother of Athena Kotarides and Peter Kay and his wife Kathleen. Loving sister of Evelyn Diranian and the late George Anthony. Loving grandmother of Alexandra M. Kay and Krissy C. Kay. Sister in law of Dorothea Anthony and the late Andrew Diranian. Loving aunt of Evan Anthony, Harry Anthony, Cathy Spiropoulos and her husband George, George Anthony, Jr., Billy Anthony and his wife Marie, Ginny Diranian, Karen Pavlos, Andy Diranian, Chucky Diranian, Alicia and her husband Andreas Savvides, Dina Spiropoulos, John Pavlos, Jennifer Pavlos, Andreanna Pavlos Pena, Daniel Pena,Nikolet Pavlos, Mary and Chris Deamantopoulos and their children. Great aunt of Alycia Savvides, Andreas Savvides, Dina Spiropoulos, Jon Pavlos, Jennifer Pavlos, Jennifer Pavlos, Karina Pavlos, Jeremy Pavlos Pena , Evan Pavlos Pena, Katarina Savvides, George Savvides, Also survived by many dear friends.
