Dorothy Hill Lawrence, of Cambridge, formerly of Middletown, Connecticut, passed away on December 28, 2010 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She was born in Middletown, CT to William and Helen (Jones) Hill. She was raised in Middletown. She married William Lawrence and raised her family in Middletown. She worked in retail as a buyer. She enjoyed cooking, needlepoint, reading, crafts and spending time with her family. She also volunteered at Middlesex Memorial Hospital in Middletown, Connecticut for 18 years. She was the beloved wife of the late William Lawrence. Devoted mother of Patricia Straus and her husband David. Loving Grandmother of Sara S. Farrer and her husband Luke and Rebecca S. Ravenel and her husband Ramsay. Great grandmother of Emma and Toby Farrrer. Sister of Sandra McDuell and her husband Chris and Audrey lane. Also survived by many nieces, nephews,relatives and friends. A Memorial luncheon is planned for February 5, 2011 at 12 Noon at The Bee & Thistle Inn, 100 Lyme Street, Old Lyme, Connecticut.
