Doris Pappas's Obituary

In Loving Memory of Doris Pappas
Doris Pappas, affectionately known as Dee, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2025, surrounded by love and the warmth of those closest to her.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Dee moved with her family to Somerville, Massachusetts during her teenage years. The transition to Boston was a joyful one—awaited by a vibrant circle of family, friends, and a strong Greek community that embraced them with open arms.

Dee flourished socially and embraced life with enthusiasm. Her calendar was filled with gatherings, celebrations, and community events, all of which she approached with her signature warmth and charm. She loved to travel and did so often with both family and friends, visiting new countries and savoring the nightlife, culture, and cuisine along the way.

For many years, Dee worked as a sales associate at Electronic Fasteners Inc., where she was known for her dedication and kindness. After retiring, she continued to enjoy the things she loved most—traveling, reading, solving crossword puzzles, entertaining, and spending time with her cherished friends and beloved family.

Dee was the devoted daughter of the late George Pappas and Anne (Hartophilis) Pappas. She is survived by her loving sister, Marilyn Nichols of Lexington, Massachusetts. She was predeceased by her dear brother Peter Pappas and her brother-in-law Evangelos Nichols.

Aunt Dee was a devoted, nurturing, and generous aunt whose love knew no bounds. She held a special place in the hearts of her nieces and nephews: William Nichols, Anne Nichols, Christina Nichols, and Nicholas Nichols. She was a cherished great-aunt to Marissa Arsenault and her husband Ryan, Alexandra Nichols, and Michaela Nichols—and a proud great-great-aunt to sweet Elena Christina Arsenault.

Dee was so much more than an aunt—she was a constant source of love, strength, and joy in our lives. Her absence leaves a profound emptiness, and we are heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Aunt Dee.

Now an angel at peace, may her memory be eternal.
God bless her.
Amen.
