Donna Marie (Delicata) Barry, 67, of Waltham, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on April 16, 2017. Donna was born on October 2, 1949 in Newton, Massachusetts to the late Mario Albert and Violet (Sharpe) Delicata. She graduated from Newton School system and attended Cosmetology School. She worked as a hair stylist for many years. She had an eye for style with her many different hair styles and colors that she wore so beautifully. Devoted mother of Marc Barry. She was so proud of him and his recent accomplishment in his photography hobby. He had a beautiful write-up in the Boston Globe 2 weeks ago and Donna was gleaming with pride over her son's accomplishment. Donna loved her family and spending time with them. She was the ultimate party planner and like a Mother to everyone she loved. She enjoyed sitting by the pool during the summer months. She was a constant presence and support to her son and her sisters and their families. She was truly an earth angel. Everyone loved Donna. Her beautiful smile will be truly missed by all who loved her. Besides her son Marc, she is survived by her sisters; Paula Bourgeois and her husband Ivan, Janet Bourgeois, Linda Delicata, Joann Geilfuss and her husband Jim, and Carolyn Roycroft and her husband Jay. Sister in law of Tilmon Bourgeois. Godmother of Patrick Roycroft. Devoted aunt of Brian, Sean, and Patrick Roycroft, Dawn Fournier, Michelle LeBlanc, Renee Campana, Jimmy and Jacquelyn Geilfuss, Tina Cretella and Linda Emmanuel. She was predeceased by her parents and her beloved "Aunty Min" (Marion Sharpe) who was like a mother to her, and also her former husband Robert Barry. Also survived by relatives and dear friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 11AM at the Newton Cemetery Chapel, 791 Walnut St., Newton, Massachusetts . There will be a brief visitation with the family prior to the Memorial Service from 10AM to 11AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations in Donna's memory may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, Massachusetts 02241-7005. Burial will be private.
