Dimos Papagelis, of Needham, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026 at the age of 91.
Dimos was the beloved husband of Ekaterini for 61 years, and devoted father of Elaine Sougarides and her husband Peter, and Joanne Papagelis. He was the loving pappou of Arianna and Charlie Sougarides.
He was born in Sparta, Greece on October 19, 1934 and raised in the nearby village of Vassaras. In 1967, Dimos along with his wife Ekaterini and young daughter Elaine, bravely immigrated to the United States with a strong desire to achieve the American dream.
