Dimitrios " James" Papantoniou, 97, of Everett, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2023 surrounded by his family.Born in Elliniko, Arcadia, Greece. Son of the late Iraklis and Konstantina (Kalianiotis) Papantoniou. Beloved husband of Evangelia (Karamouzi) Papantoniou. Devoted father of Hercules Papantoniou and his wife Maria , Konstantina "Dina" Papantoniou and her husband Panagiotis Kolizeras, and Nicholas Papantoniou and his partner Tatum Adair. Cherished Pappou of Demetri and Eva-Marie Papantoniou, and Yianna, Evangelia and Nico Papantoniou.Loving brother of Christos Papantoniou and his wife Angeliki, Veneta Lambros,Athanasia Tombros, and the late Stavroula Kalogeropoulos, the late Georgios Papantoniou, and the late Yiannis Papantoniou, and the late Yianoula Georgantas. Brother in law of Ereni Karamouzi, Aleko Kalogeropoulos, Aphrodite Papantoniou, and the late Ekaterini Papantoniou, the late Sotirios Karamouzi,  the late Demetrios Tombros, the late Arthur Lambros, and the late Grigorios Georgantas. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends here and in Greece.

Dimitiros loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.  He enjoyed gardening.  He loved his horio in Elliniko, Arcadia, Greece. He was a devout Orthodox Christian.  He worked as a cook at Deluxe Rail Restaurant in Everett, MA for 30 years. He will be sadly missed.

Funeral Service on Friday, June 9, 2023 at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Church, 14 Magazine Street, Cambridge, MA at 11AM.  Visitation prior to the Service from 9:30AM-11AM at the church. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.  In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the above named church.
