Despina (Kartsounis) Viris, 93, of Brighton, Mass. passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 6, 2021.  Born in Vresthena, Greece.  Daughter of the late John and Ekaterini Kartsounis.  Beloved wife of the late Christos P. Viris. Devoted mother of John Viris and his wife Untok Chon,and Peter Viris and his wife Athena. Cherished yiayia of Christos Viris and Despina Viris. She was predeceased by her siblings, Giorgios, Kostantinos, Antigone, Potoula and Ekaterini.  Also survived by many relatives and friends.  Funeral Service on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 11AM at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral of New England, 514 Parker Street, Boston, MA (Corner of Parker and Ruggless Sts).  Visitation prior to the service from 10AM to 11AM.  Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the above named church. Burial in Newton Cemetery, Newton, Mass.
