Despina (Kougias) Talambekos, of Watertown, Massachusetts, passed away on December 24, 2020. Beloved wife of George Talambekos. Devoted mother of Peter G. Talambekos and Chris Talambekos. Cherished yiayia of Kristina Talambekos and Alexander Talambekos.  Loving sister of Theodoros Kougias, Maria Filaretou and her husband Dimitri, and the late Peter Kougias. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends here, Australia and Greece.  Despina loved spending time with her two grandchildren and family. They were the light of her life. She loved to cook and bake greek dishes and pastries.  She also loved shopping trips with her Koumbara and trips to Greece with her family.  She would always pose for a photo with the most beautiful flowers.  She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.  Funeral Service on Tuesday, Janaury 5, 2021 at 10AM at the Taxiarchae Greek Orthodox Church, 25 Bigelow Avenue, Watertown, MA  02472.  Visitation will be held on Monday, January 4, 2021 at the funeral home from 5PM to 8PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the above named church.  Burial in the Gardens Cemetery, West Roxbury, Massachusetts.
