Demetrios George Brakoumatsos of Watertown, passed away on January 1, 2017. He was born in Mamari, Tripoli, Greece. Son of the late George and Ekaterini (Demetroulas) Brakoumatsos. Beloved husband of Georgia (Kourou) Brakoumatsos. Cherished father of George Brakoumatsos and the late John Brakoumatsos. He is also survived by many relatives and friends. Demetrios served as Sexton at his beloved Taxiarchae Greek Orthodox Church from 1995 up until three years ago. He served his church faithfully. He spent each an every day at the church cleaning and preparing everything that is necessary for the church services. Funeral from the Faggas Funeral Home, 551 Mt. Auburn St., Watertown, MA on Thursday , January 5th at 9:00 am. Followed by a funeral service at 10:00 am in the Taxiarchae Greek Orthodox Church, 25 Bigelow Ave., Watertown, MA. Visting hours on Wednesday , January 4th in the funeral home from 5 to 8 pm. Burial to take place in the Gardens Cemetery, 670 Baker St., West Roxbury, MA.
