Demetra(Gavros) Phillos of Newton passed away on January 1, 2019. Beloved wife of the late George Phillos. Beloved mother of Harry Phillos & his wife Panagiota and Bess Zois & her husband Perry. Sister of Thanasi Gavros & his spouse Roula and Sotiri Gavros & his wife Helen. Sister in law of Chris Phillos & his wife Katina and Lee Christakis & her husband George. Beloved grandmother of Dimitra, George, Jaclyn and Deanna. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral services on Saturday, January 5th at 12:30 pm in the Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 14 Magazine St., Cambridge, MA . There will be a visitation 1 hour prior to the services in church from 11:30- 12:30 pm. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the above named church or to the Good Shepherd Hospice - Newton, 90 Wells Avenue, Newton, MA 02459. Burial in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge, MA .
