Daniel Joseph "Dan" Kelly, III, at the age of 64 of West Boylston, Massachusetts, passed on September 29th. Dan was born in Cambridge, MA on November 2, 1952. A 1971 graduate of Belmont High School, he was married to his high school sweetheart and best friend, Dorothy "Dotti" Curtin on August 28, 1976; they were together for forty-five years. Dan owned D. J. Kelly Construction Company until his retirement in 2016. He enjoyed spending time with his two grandchildren, rooting for Boston sports teams, reading, and coaching in Watertown Youth Hockey. Dan took great pride and pleasure in his craftsmanship around his home. His many friends and neighbors will fondly recall that when the garage door was open, it was the signal that he was ready to help others with their personal home repairs. Dan was the devoted and loving father of Mark Kelly and his wife Nicole of Bradford, MA, and Megan Kelly of Nassau, Bahamas. Dan was the beloved and fun Papa to his grandchildren Quinn and Soren. Dan was pre-deceased by his mother, Jean Kelly of Osterville, MA. Dan is survived by his father, Daniel Kelly Jr. of Osterville, MA, and his siblings: Jeanne Barber and her husband, Lee, Ginny Gould Kelly, John Kelly, Mary Kelly, and Richard Kelly and his wife Cindy. He also had fifteen nieces and nephews and many aunts and uncles. Dan was so loved by his in-laws, Dorothy and Robert Curtin of Naples, Florida. Visitation will be held on Tues., Oct. 3, 2017 at the Faggas Funeral Home, 551 Mt. Auburn St., WATERTOWN, MA, from 4PM to 8PM. At the request of the family, please omit flowers. Memorial donations in Dan's name may be given to the Jimmy Fund or Watertown Youth Hockey League. Burial will be private.
