Constantina E. (Hatzis) Fenerlis, of Arlington, Massachusetts, entered into eternal rest on January 10, 2026, at the age of 88.She was born on April 3, 1937, in Loganiko, Sparta, Greece. In 1956, she immigrated to the United States through Ellis Island, carrying with her a deep faith, a strong work ethic, and an enduring devotion to family. She embraced her new homeland while proudly preserving her Greek heritage, values, and traditions throughout her life.
Constantina was the beloved wife of John Fenerlis and a devoted mother of Peter Fenerlis and his wife Angela, Louis Fenerlis and his wife Helen , and Kathryn Koufos and her husband George.
She was the cherished sister of Anna Papalimberis and her husband George, Vasili Hatzis and his wife Pota, and the late Peter and George Hatzis. She was also the sister-in-law of Niki Hatzis, Voula Hatzis, and Eugene Fenerlis.
As a devoted Yiayia, she found her greatest joy in her grandchildren: Jonathan and his wife Jessica, Sarah and her husband Mark, Alexandra and her husband Michael,Stephanie and her husband Dane, Joanna, Michael and his fiancée Ashley, and Madeline.
She was also the proud great-yiayia of Callahan, Nolan, Cade, Levi, Maverick, Ariana, Melia, and Willa.
She was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Constantina's greatest joy was her family, she never missed an opportunity to gather everyone around the table. She was known for her kind and sweet heart, her warm smile, and her happiness.
As a woman of deep faith, Constantina was a longtime member of Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church. She will be remembered for her generosity,hospitality, and unwavering devotion.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Saint Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 14 Magazine Street, Cambridge,Massachusetts. Visiting hours will be held in the church prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m.
Burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Saint Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church.
