Christopher Joseph Robbins's Obituary

Christopher Joseph Robbins was a devoted husband, father, brother, son and friend. He unexpectedly left this world much too soon on May 24, 2021 at age 40.

Chris was born to the late William Burdulis and late Tracy Robbins on July 31, 1980 in Cambridge, MA. Chris spent the early part of his childhood in Somerville, MA before moving to Watertown where he remained a loyal member of the community until his death.

Chris married the love of his life and highschool sweetheart Linda Robbins in September of 2000.Their adventures together were bountiful, filled with love, laughter, travel, kids, pets, friends and late night ice cream. Together, Chris and Linda have two children, Kaitlyn Robbins, age 21 and Christopher Robbins, age 14.

There is no doubt that Chris's greatest joy was his children. Whether he was building legos or cars with Christopher, playing baseball, watching wrestling, listening to music with Kaitlyn, enjoying a family movie night, game night or mastering the latest impossible puzzle, he was happiest spending time and making memories with his family.

Chris had a true love for life and found the most joy in making people laugh. He was a comedian in his own right, effortlessly spreading laughter just by being himself. He was unique, charismatic and a true gift to all who knew him. He appreciated all of the things life had to offer and always found new ways to find joy.  A bike ride, a walk in the park, attending a Red Sox game, hosting a Sunday football party or driving his family on a cross country road trip are just a few examples of how he liked to spend his time. Chris loved Elvis Presley, in particular listening to the Elvis hour on the oldies every Sunday morning, midnight popsicles and he had an extreme passion for all things peanut butter. His love for Reese's cups will never be forgotten.

Chris was a skilled carpenter, always fixing everything for everyone. He was a hard worker and provider for his family. He was extremely generous with his time and his heart, always looking out for those who were lucky enough to call him a friend. He was brave and fearless, whether he was jumping out of an airplane as a parachutist in the Army, or riding the highest rollercoaster at an amusement park with friends, the sky was the limit for Chris.

Chris served in the United States Army as a Carpentry and Masonry Specialist from 2000 to 2004 and was awarded the Army Achievement medal, Army Good Conduct medal, National Defense Service medal, Global War on Terrorism Service medal, Armed Service Ribbon, Expert Marksmanship Qualification Badge with Rifle Bar and Parachutist Badge. Chris brought great pride to his country, his family, his friends and all who knew him. Chris continued to support his fellow veterans through his work with the Wounded Warrior Project and The Home Base Program, two charities he was most passionate about.  After completing his service to the Army, he attended Bunker Hill Community College where he earned his Associates Degree in Criminal Justice and Fire Science.

Chris is survived by his beautiful wife Linda Robbins, daughter Kaitlyn Robbins, son Christopher Robbins, father James Duffy, sister Cynthia Robbins, his nephews and niece, as well as countless other family members and friends.

Chris will be honored with a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, May 28, 2021 at Sacred Heart Parish, 770 Mt. Auburn Street in Watertown, MA. There will be a brief visitation at the church from 9AM to 10AM followed by a Catholic Mass. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
