Christoforo Papayannopoulos of Watertown, MA, passed away on May 10, 2023. Christoforo was born in Founteika, Sparti, Laconias, Greece and lived for many years in Agoriani, Laconias, Greece.  He was an avid gardener and took pride in his grapevine and fig & olive trees. He enjoyed walking, talking to neighbors about the "beautiful weather," and he was very devoted to his church.

Christoforo is survived by his loving wife Anna (Berdenis) Papayannopoulos, his son Demetrios Papayannopoulos and wife Irene, his son George Papayannopoulos, his late son Sotirios Papayannopoulos, and his granddaughters Catherine and Anna Papayannopoulos. He is also survived by Stratis Papayannopoulos and his late wife Maria, the late Fotini Karahalios and her late husband Kostas, the late George Papayannopoulos and his wife Eleni, the late Panagiota Evangelis and her late husband Nikos, and the late Antonis Papayannopoulos and his wife Fotini. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends here and in Greece.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 16 at 10:30AM at the Taxiarchae Greek Orthodox Church, 25 Bigelow Ave., Watertown, MA.

Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:30AM to 10:30AM at the church. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Taxiarchae Greek Orthodox Church. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Watertown, MA.
