Charles Alex, of Watertown November 22,2014. Son of the late Nicholas and Koula Alexopoulos. He was born in Somerville, Mass in 1926. He graduated from Somerville Highschool in 1944: he was a 3-letter man in sports. He worked as a licensed Master Gas Fitter and plumber. He married Florence A. Koulouris. They moved to Watertown, Mass in 1959 and resided in the same home ever since. He worked as an appliance technician at Sears for 35 years. He was father to one son, William C. Alex, who graduated 2nd in his class at Watertown High School and went on to graduate from RPI. He was an avid donator to his beloved Greek Orthodox Church Taxiarchae in Watertown, Mass. He enjoyed telling stories. He was a successful realestate owner and manager. He was a very wise and practical man. He always treated people right. He had many friends. He often did work for people, fixing plumbing, stores, etc. He was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Florence A. Alex. He is survived by his son William C. "Bill" Alex, of Watertown, MA. Brother of Francis Fyfe of Hull and the late George Alexopoulos and the late Peter Alex. Brother in law of Evelyn Alex. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visiting hours on Monday Nov. 24th from 4 to 8pm at the Faggas Funeral Home, 551 Mt. Auburn St., Watertown, MA. Relatives and friends kindly invited to attend.
