Betty P. (Dimitrion) Morakis, 69, at the age of 69. Her courageous 7 1/2 year battle with cancer has finally ended, leaving behind her beloved husband James Morakis of New York, and her three cherished sons, Lee of New York, Todd of Japan and Jay of New York. Throughout Betty's struggle, her family remained unwavering, by her side. She is also survived by her brother , James Dimitrion of New Jersey and three sisters, Genny Thomas of Pennsylvania, Thomasine Flangos of Arizona and Georgia Dimitrion of New Jersey. Wake services will be held Tuesday, August 30th from 5 to 8:30pm at the Frank E. Campbell Funeral Chapel, 1076 Madison Ave., New York, NY. Funeral services to be held the following morning, Wednesday, August 31st, at 10am at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Chapel, 319 East 74th St., New York,NY. Burial Thursday, September 1 at the Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Morakis Family Grave. Visitation one hour prior to interment from 9:30 to 10:30am at the Faggas Funeral Home.
