Betty Ann Finnell, 81, of Watertown, MA passed away unexpectedly on January 28, 2011 and is now reunited with her loved ones. As a devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend, her sense of humor, kindness, generosity and zest for life will surely be missed. She retired from RCA after more than 3 decades of dedicated service and in her younger years she loved to travel, play tennis, sail and sang in a choral group. Throughout her life, Betty was an avid reader who loved books and the Sunday newspapers and the discussions that followed. And she cherished her friends many of whom she had for 50+ years. Betty was very independent and active in her community. She was a volunteer and board member with the Council for Aging and had been active with her condo association. Betty was sister of the late Jane F. Schreiber and is survived by nephew Craig Schreiber of Colorado Springs, Co, and two nieces Anne McAndrew of Pleasantville, NY and Margo Schreiber of Haddonfield, NJ and their respective families. Since Betty was such a practical soul, we are sure she would prefer donations rather than flowers to be sent in memory of her to the Joslin Diabetes Center, Development Office, One Joslin Place, Boston, MA 02215. A memorial service will be held in the Spring on May 22 at 3pm at the Eliot Church of Newton, 474 Centre St, Newton, MA
