Betty M. Emanuel of Punta Gorda, Florida, formerly of Dorchester and Milton, MA passed away peacefully on September 23, 2024, surrounded by family and cherished friends after a lengthy illness.

A resident of Florida, Betty embraced her retirement in the warm weather and vibrant culture. She was known for her passion for cross stitching, cake decorating, and diamond painting, hobbies that brought her joy and allowed her creativity to shine. In addition, she was a member of the Red Hat Society, which she enjoyed greatly. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and exploring all that Florida had to offer.

She was a kind and loving person who made a lasting impact on the lives of those around her, cherishing lifelong friendships and nurturing connections that will be fondly remembered. Her warmth, generosity, spirit and sense of humor will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Betty is survived by her beloved daughter and caregiver, Andrea Boujoukos of Punta Gorda, Florida, her son Christopher Boujoukos and his fiancée Julie Bagley of West Bridgewater, Massachusetts, her brother Edward Emanuel and sister-in-law Marjorie Emanuel of Cape Coral, Florida, her granddaughter Mary Boujoukos, and nephews Joseph Emanuel and George Emanuel and their families. She was predeceased by her parents, Mary (Angelopoulos) Emanuel (originally of Athens, Greece) and George A. Emanuel of Boston, Massachusetts.

The family wishes to thank her niece, Holly Wheeler, and family friends Gail Emond, Steven Mousterakis and Jay Filipski, for their unwavering kindness and loving support.

In addition, they are grateful for the care given to her by HCA Fawcett Hospital in Port Charlotte, Florida, especially Chris and Stephanie, her ICU nurses whose care and professionalism was exemplary to both Betty and her family.
