Augustus, A. Turni, 97, of Cambridge passed away peacefully at his home on March 5, 2009. He was born in Lynn, Mass on March 31, 1911. When he was 2 years old his parents moved back to Varsi, Italy. At age 9, his family returned to Boston's North End. He was the owner of Turni Trucking Service. He remained active in his business until he retired at age 75. Beloved husband of the late Rachel (Borghi) Turni for over 62 years. He is survived by his children, Madeline Wallace of Cambrige, Richard Turni and his wife Frances of Burlington and Augustus Turni of Manchester, NH. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to All Care Hospice, 16 City Hall Square, Lynn, MA 01901.
