Asimina Salapatas, 90, of Needham, MA passed away peacefully on April 30, 2024.  She was born in Syros, Greece to Nicholas and Margarita Zarane.  She came to Montreal, Canada in the late 1960's and eventually came to Massachusetts where she made her home in Brockton, MA. She worked as a seamstress. She was a wonderful mother to her two daughters, Helen and Margarita.  She loved the ocean and would go whenever she had the opportunity.  She loved cooking, sewing and spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She was a devout Orthodox Christian.

She was the loving mother of Helen Kondilis and her husband Panagiotis, and Margarita Owens. Loving sister of Evangelia Kalogerinis, and the late Michalis and the late Sophia. Cherished Yiayia to 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by many relatives and friends.  May her memory be eternal.

Funeral Services on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at the Holy Transfiguration Monastery, 278 Warren Street, Brookline, MA at 9AM.  Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.  Burial in The Gardens at Gethsemane Cemetery, West Roxbury, MA.
