Artemis E. Gyftopoulos, 73, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at her home in Lincoln, MA surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of Prof. Elias P. Gyftopoulos. Daughter of Mary S. Scalleri. Loving mother of Vasso G. Kelly & her husband Hugh, Maro G. Desjardins & her husband Mark, and Rena G. Sheperd & her husband David. Adoring grandmother to her 10 grandchildren. Artemis will be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother, Yiayia , friend, legendary hostess and chef and an outstanding leader in the Greek community. Funeral Service on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at the Holy Cross Seminary Chapel at Hellenic College-Holy Cross Orthodox School of Theology, 50 Goddard Ave., Brookline, MA at 11am. Visiting hours Monday, August 22, 2011 from 5 to 8pm in the Holy Cross Seminary Chapel.
