Aretha Shine Harris audaciously known as "Sam" was born on Saturday, October 11, 1969, the third of four daughters, born to Jessie and the late Ella Saulsberry Shine of Coy, Alabama (Wilcox County). She was employed for 25 years in Environmental Services at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston MA. She leaves to cherish her memories: her son, Chris Harris and daughter, Shirkira Harris of Boston, MA; sisters, Cynthia Brown and Felicia Shine of Boston, MA and Wynette Shine of Coy, AL; surrogate mother, Caroline Carroll of Boston, MA; cousins, Jill Saulsberry, Barbara Saulsberry and Vanessa Saulsberry of Boston, MA, friends and coworkers, Gail Appling, Evelyn Edge, Joyce Taylor, and Patty Sullivan. Visitation on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at the funeral home from 2PM to 4PM.  Relatives and friends invited to attend  (with COVID- 19 restrictions, Masks and Social Distancing). Funeral Services and burial will take place in Coy, Alabama on Saturday, October 17, 2020.
