Obituary

Apostolos Papadopoulos, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, sacrifice, and devotion to family.Born on February 15, 1930, in Greece, Apostolos lived a life defined by hard work, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to those he loved. In 1973, he made the courageous decision to move his family from Greece to the United States in pursuit of a better future for his children, Phil and Cathy. Alongside his beloved wife, Sofia, he worked tirelessly at many jobs, often making personal sacrifices to ensure his children had opportunities that he himself never had.Apostolos and Sofia built a life centered on family, faith, and determination. Though Sofia passed away in 1997, the values they instilled and the love they shared continue to live on through the generations they helped shape. He is survived by his son, Phil Papadopoulos and his partner, Karen Leonard; his daughter, Cathy Papadopoulos O’Grady and her husband, Brian; his former daughter-in-law, Maria Wouralis, with whom Phil shared 18 years of marriage and who is the loving mother of Alex and Toula; his cherished grandchildren, George and his wife, Julie, Alex and his wife, Sarah, Toula, and Matthew; his beloved great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Joey; and his siter Eleftheria. Apostolos was blessed to witness the growth of his family and took great pride in their accomplishments. His strength, resilience, and dedication will be remembered by all who knew him. The life he built and the opportunities he created for his family stand as a testament to his love and sacrifice.Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all whose lives he touched.

May his memory be eternal.
