Anna Lappos, 87, of Lexington, MA passed away on November 11, 2023. Anna was born and raised in Zakynthos, Greece. Upon high school graduation, she moved to Athens to continue her education and attend the School of Doxiadi for architectural drafting. When she arrived in the United States, she worked at Stone and Webster drafting plans for HVAC systems.
Anna lived a full life enjoying her many friends, colleagues and family here, and in Montreal and Zakynthos. She was a woman of many talents. Whenever she encountered a challenge, she always persevered and overcame it. She loved filling up her free time with many handicrafts, whether she embellished her home or an outfit she chose for a special occasion.
In retirement, she began poetry writing and published a book filled with poems of her childhood, life and love of her heritage. She was an active member of the Society of Engineers for HVAC systems, the St. Nicholas Philoptochos (Lexington), member of the choir, and other philanthropic organizations.
She loved being surrounded by her many nieces and nephews. Enjoyed celebrating holidays and other family milestones with each one.
Anna leaves behind her loving husband, Panayiotis Lappos of 47 years. She was predeceased by her mother Dionysia (Papadatou) Mylonas, father Panayiotis Mylonas and sisters: Konstatina Kefalinou, Olga Avouri, Ekaterini Razis, and Chrissy Pavlopoulou. She is survived by her brother Gerasimos Mylonas and his wife Theodora, and many nieces and nephews here and in Greece.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, November 19,2023 at the funeral home from 2PM to 5PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church,17 Meriam Street, Lexington, MA 02420.
Funeral Services and burial will take place in Zakynthos, Greece.
