Anna D. (Giunta) Arria, of Belmont, MA passed away peacefully on January 14, 2024 surrounded by her family.  She was born in Arlington, MA. Daughter of the late Rosario and Giovannina (Arciuli) Giunta. She was was raised in Belmont, MA with her two sisters.

She married the love of her life John L. Arria,and they raised four sons in her childhood home.

She was hands on with her sons.  She was a den mother for cub scouts for many years.  She was also an entrepreneur.  She was an Avon Representative and had many customers.  She won many trips through Avon and traveled throughout the years. She could always be found sitting at her kitchen table taking orders or getting orders ready for pick up in the red mailbox on her front porch. She only recently retired. She was a devout Christian and would pray for anyone who needed her prayers.  She attended mass regularly. She also loved to knit and crochet. She made blankets for all of her grandchildren and for anyone who would ask her for one of her beautiful blankets.

She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.  Christmas was one of Anna and John's favorite holidays. They would prepare the "seven fishes" for Christmas Eve for days.  The whole family would gather and enjoy good food and family.  She will be sadly missed.

She was the beloved wife of the late John L. Arria. Loving mother of Leo J. Arria and his wife Debra J., Roy J. Arria and his wife Dale E., Richard Arria and his wife Susan, and John Arria, Jr.

Cherished grandmother of Kristie Bolton and her husband Lenny, Jason Hines and his wife Sara, Richard J. Arria and his wife Laurie, Jessica Doyle and her husband Matthew, Michael Arria and his wife Morgan, Richard C. Arria and his wife Laura, Amy Corbett and her husband Joseph, Robert Arria and his wife Brenna, Benjamin Arria and his wife Heather, Matthew Arria and his wife Dorina, James Arria and his wife Meredith, Allyson Hall and her husband Jacob, and Kevin Arria and his wife Taylor. Cherished great grandmother of Riley, Kayla and Sammy Bolton, Julianna, John and James Arria, Matthew, Nicholas, and Joseph Doyle, Evelyn, Clover and Layla Arria, JJ (Joseph), Dylan and Cameron Corbett, Jordan, Antonio and Adriana Arria, Rachael Greenland, and Matteo Arria. Sister of Grace Romano and the late Josephone Sergi.  Also survived by her two daughter in laws, Carol Arria and Lucinda Jones, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Our Lady  Comforter  the Afflicted Parish, 920 Trapelo Road, Waltham, MA at 9AM.  Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Please go directly to church.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at the funeral home from 4PM to 8PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX  85284-0692. Burial in Belmont Cemetery, Grove Street, Belmont, MA.
