Angela N. Karamalakis, 90, of Arlington, Massachusetts passed away on April 2, 2011. She was born on January 9, 1921 in Vrioula, Turkey to Parashos and Avgoustina (Takiktou) Hatziraptis. She escaped Greece when she was 2 years old with her 3 older sisters, Maria, Stella and Argiro after their father was killed by the Turks. Raised by her mother in Kesariani District of Athens, Greece. She immigrated to the United States to live with her sister in 1954. In 1957 she returned to Athens, Greece to marry Nikolaos V. Karamalakis. They returned to United States and resided in Lexington and Arlington, Massachusetts. She worked as a dress maker for Priscilla of Boston on Newbury Street for 36 years. She made wedding gowns for President Nixon's and President Johnson's daughters and other famous people. She was predeceased by her loving husband Nikolaos V. Karamalakis who passed away on August 12, 1996. She is also predeceased by her parents and her siblings. She is survived by many relatives and friends here and in Greece.
