Anastasia "Stasia" B Avery

Anastasia "Stasia" (Zevitas) Avery, 94, of Watertown, Massachusetts, passed away on March 14, 2021 surrounded by her family .  Beloved wife of the late Charles Avery and daughter of the late Jennie and William Zevitas of Watertown. Devoted mother of Angelica "Lee" Christo, and Jan Siannas and her husband Athanasios.  Devoted grandmother of Maria Thigpen and her husband Chris, Anastasia "Stacey" Langill and her husband Michael, and Sp ir o Siannas and his wife Beth. Cherished great - grandmother of Glenn, Gianna, and Charlie Ann Thigpen, Johnnie and Mia Langill , and Scarle t t Siannas .  Also survived by partner-in-crime and caregiver, Edith Mwanga, as well as many relatives and friends.  Stasia loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great - grandchildren.  She loved to knit and bake Greek pastries and pies for her family and friends.  She always enjoyed traveling ; she took many cruises to exotic locations and frequently visited Greece and the Caribbean . More than anything - She was happiest when with her family by her side, which is exactly how most of her days throughout her 94 amazing years of life.  She will be remembered not only for the love she gave but for her wit , and uncensored sense of humor. She will be sadly missed.  Funeral Service on Friday, March 19, 2021 at 12 Noon at the Taxiarches Greek Orthodox Church, 25 Bigelow Avenue, Watertown, Massachusetts. Visitation prior to the Service from 11AM to 12Noon at the church. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made the Taxiarchae Greek Orthodox Church.  Burial in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Watertown, Massachusetts.
