Aminuddin Rathore, MD July 27, 1937 - March 25, 2016 An admired physician, loving husband and father, doting grandparent, and pillar of the community. Dr. Aminuddin Rathore, aged 78, passed away with his family by his side on March 25, 2016 after succumbing to a brave battle with pancreatic cancer at the Brigham and Women's Hospital / Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. Dr. Rathore was a respected urologist who practiced at the Nashoba Valley Medical Center in Ayer, MA for over three decades before his retirement four years ago. Remembered by former colleagues and patients as a physician and friend who displayed the highest level of care and compassion to others, Amin's shrewd and pragmatic character will be sorely missed. Amin, a 40-year resident of Harvard, enjoyed traveling internationally with his wife Nahid, amateur photography, and staying at the forefront of technology. While in Harvard, Amin took great pride in tending to the family orchard and organic garden. Amin was considered a pillar of the local Pakistani-American community through the Islamic Center of Boston in Wayland. Dr. Rathore is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Nahid Rathore MD; his sons, Amer of Atlanta, GA and wife Elizabeth; Tahir of Ridgecrest, CA and wife Zara Husain; and Zahid of Washington, DC and fiancé Afsaneh Kamangar. Dr. Rathore's greatest sense of pride and tribute to his legacy are his grandchildren Carter, Max, and Mason from Atlanta, GA. A ceremony celebrating Dr. Rathore's life was held at the Islamic Center of Boston in Wayland on March 28, 2016 with a subsequent burial at the Forest Hills Cemetery in Boston.
