Alice "Lee" Polley, formerly of Belmont and Palm Beach, FL, died September 8 in Mashpee. She was 89. She was born on April 1, 1927 in Boston, MA and attended Girls Latin School and Lasell College. Lee was predeceased by her beloved husband, Sam C. Polley. Lee had a successful career as associate, buyer and manager at the Sara Fredericks boutiques in Boston and Palm Beach. After the sale of her husband's family restaurant, Nick's in Boston's theatre district, the couple spent their retirement enjoying and entertaining family and friends. Mrs. Polley is survived by her three daughters; Sandra and husband Theophilos Gomatos of Lexington and East Falmouth, Linda and husband Christos Hasiotis of East Falmouth and Victoria Christie Gustin and husband Charles of Weston. Lee was proud and devoted "Yia-Yia" to six grandchildren; Alexis Hasiotis Wintersteen, Aliki Hasiotis Broderick, Stavros Gomatos, Dina Hasiotis McEvoy, Philip Gustin, Greg Gustin and eight great-grandchildren. Lee is also survived by her dear sisters-in-law, Connie Papageorge of Canton and Elaine Polley of South Yarmouth as well as many adoring nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, September 13 from 10-11 am at the Annunciation Greek Cathedral of New England in Boston to be followed by funeral services. Interment will be at Forest Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
