Alice O. (Karafotias) Niakaros, of Sandwich, MA formerly of Roslindale, MA entered eternal rest on December 18, 2024. She was born in Boston, MA. Beloved wife of the late Steve J. Niakaros. Devoted Mother of the Very Rev. Archimandrite Dr. Makarios J. Niakaros of Haverhill, MA and James Niakaros of Sandwich, MA. Sister of the late Harry Karafotias, the late Michael Karafotias, and the late Elizabeth Tuden.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends here and in Greece.

Alice and Steve were married November 18, 1962. They made their home in Roslindale, MA and raised their two sons there.  They enjoyed spending time at their summer home in Sandwich, MA (Cape Cod) and traveling to Greece and traveling to the Carribean, Aruba, and Greece to name a few.

After the death of her beloved husband Steve in 2004, Alice moved to Sandwich, MA permanently.  She loved spending time with her family. She loved the beach, spending time with her sister Elizabeth, and shopping with friends.  She enjoyed baking and cooking for her family. She was a devout Orthodox Christian at her beloved church, St. John The Baptist Greek Orthodox Church in Boston, MA where she was very active when she lived in Roslindale, MA.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 23,2024 at the chapel of the Holy cross located on the campus of Hellenic College Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, 50 Goddard Avenue, Brookline, MA at 1:30PM.

Visitation will take place from 11:30AM to 1:30PM at the Holy Cross Chapel. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. John The Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, 15 Union Park Street, Boston, MA  02118.
