Alexandra Marken, 90, of Southborough, MA formerly of Wayland and Newton MA passed away peacefully on June 4, 2023 surrounded by her family.  She was born in Boston, MA to the late James and Aspasia Angelus. Beloved wife of Charles Anthony Marken.  Devoted Mother of Stephen, Christopher and his wife Denise, and Andrew.  She is also survived by her sister Mary Philopoulos and her husband Nicholas, brothers William and Nicholas Angelus, the late sister Anita Koulopoulos and her late husband Michael. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was a graduate of Newton High School and Simmons College and held a position of Executive Legal Secretary at Raytheon, which she gave up when she became a full-time housewife raising a family.  In her youth, she enjoyed playing trios with her sisters on the piano.  As our mother, she enjoyed family trips to see Boston museums, the Tall Ships, Cape Cod, the mountains and parks of New Hampshire, the Baseball Hall of Fame, Niagara Falls, and many others.  In her spare time, she loved working in the gardens around her house.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 8,2023 at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 57 Brown Street, Weston, MA at 10:00 AM. Visitation prior to the Funeral Service from 9AM to 10AM at the church.  Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church. Burial will be at Newton Cemetery.
