Alexander William Peters, 81, of Cambridge, a beautiful and loving soul that God took home on November 3, 2012 to be with his loving mother who cared for Alex all of his life. Barbara and I would like to thank his nephews Joe and Ed, and our many friends who loved and cared for him at home and at Wingate. Beverly Call, Judian Inniss and her daughters Mernell and Maxine, Dr. John Anderson and Kimberly Gok, his social worker Carole Simone and Kathleen Gillespie from Somerville Elder Service and all the wonderful staff at Wingate Nursing Home where he lived for the past 15 months. Alex loved Renee, Marie, Sheba and Liza, they were his girls and he was their guy. To our dear brother Alexander, you have touched so many lives even though you did not know it. All the pain and all the sorrow is gone from you now and you are happy once again. You are walking again into the arms of our beloved mother, you are now with Ma and you are safe. You will always remain in our hearts and thoughts. We love you now and forever. Funeral from the Faggas Funeral Home, 551 Mt. Auburn St.,Watertown, MA on Friday, November 9, 2012 at 10am followed by graveside services in Mt. Auburn Cemetery at 11am. Visiting hours on Thursday from 5 to 8pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to St. Judes's Children's Fund or to the animal shelter of one's choice.
