March 14, 1954 – November 1, 2023
Alexander Mavradis, 69, of Quincy, Massachusetts passed away peacefully, on November 1, 2023. Born in Corfu, Greece. Beloved son of the late George and Helen (Bootzyvis) Mavradis. Alex worked in sales for many years, while also pursuing a lifelong passion as a photographer. He could always be found behind his camera taking photos at various events, including Greek Orthodox Church functions, weddings, festivals and many other events. He was a devout Orthodox Christian and loved his church. Most recently, Alex served as Secretary on the Parish Council at his beloved church.
Alex enjoyed cooking Greek delicacies for himself and his family. He took interest in watching his local professional sports teams, especially the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. Additionally, he enjoyed listening to Greek music and the local Greek Talk Radio program. Alex enjoyed day trips up and down the New England coast, looking for new photographic opportunities with his fiancé Patty and family.
He leaves his beloved fiancé Patricia A. Miller. Loving brother of Deidre Weagle and her husband Edward. Uncle of Matthew and Michelle Weagle. Devoted Stepfather of Keith Miller and his wife Joanne, Pamela Miller, and Bethany Ervin and her husband Nicholas. Grandfather of Ian Miller. Also survived by many relatives and friends.
Funeral Service on Saturday, November 4,2023 at 10AM at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 514 Parker Street, Boston, Massachusetts. Visitation prior to the Service from 9AM to 10AM at the church. Burial in The Gardens Cemetery, Boston, Massachusetts. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the above named church.
